any help please! my company just started resteraunt services. Im working on delfield coolers i found unit way over charged 375 head .removed charge and recharged by nameplate unit is freezing evap. is there any suggestions. this happens @ about 38 deg. cabinant temp.:confused:

Do you mean the evap is frosting? If so i would have thought this is normal.. Or is it freezing up solid over a period of time? If so there is a defrost problem.

My money is on insufficient evaporator airflow. :)

thank's for the help. i think i remedied the problem. found the thermostat embeded in the evap coil i relocated in the discharge air stream set stat @ 29 deg. now unit shuts down and thaw's ,out and keep's greate box temp without freezing solid.i am not sure if it's the right way,but it work's.
