Are you using Netscape or Firefox ?

Only ask because I'm on Firefox and don't have any problems (as yet!).

This may be completely left field.
But have you tried running Adaware or spybot. Just clear any nasties and popups.
Worth a try Grizzly.

i am very leary of the spybot removal tools. many of them are spybots themselves. i do run a utility call "watchdog", but i really cant vouch for its performance. the error i get is only on this site, and if my pc were infected,, it should happen all the time.
thats what leads me to believe that there is a code running in the background on this site (written into the forum program) that is causing it.
thanks for the tip.

Flyboy, I'm on Firefox 2.0.0.11 with the Noscript add-on.

Must admit that I haven't had any Netscape interference so can't really help, sorry.

Stick to the big names then, "search and destroy" and Ad-Aware", both are free to download and use.

Also try disabling the 'error reporting' feature in your browser.

Use a anti-spyware like windows defender to clean it

I just downloaded the "No Script" and found it to be a pain, it got promptly un-installed.
