A new window A/C, (Heat Pump) has unique problem. It operates well on cooling mode but on heating mode (with reverse valve) the heating stops after a while (an hour or so), and the suction pressure equalizes to higher pressure. The heating can be resumed only after the machine is manually switched OFF and turned ON. However same cycle is repeated. I have ruled out moisture in the system, and Reversing valve winding

Please share your experience and help diagnose the fault.

Thanks

I'd look into the defrost method.

Sounds like it's not coming out of defrost.
