Hi Guys,

I've got an existing R22 system which will be relocated to satisfy different conditions at 35 F and Condensing 120 F with OAT 90F.

This system is to have 6 evap coils of 3.6 tons each. Two coils will be on one branch at 117 ft. Another branch will have two coils at 95 ft. The two branches splits 90 degrees just 10' after the Air condensing unit which is 30 HP.

I've gotta maxed out this unit so I need pressure drops below the equivalent to 2 F. How Can I size properly this system?.

I've selected 2-1/8" main line and 1-1/8" drops of 7' (risers). The other branch splits at 1-5/8". System is DX and I wonder if oil entrainment would be a concern.

Somehow you need to find and use the Sporlan (http://www.sporlan.com/main.shtm) program ( or a similar one ) that will help you determine the pipe sizes , how did you come up with the sizes you say you may
use ? Guessed ?
To be sure get a program and punch in the lengths & capacites etc .
