Hitachi CCU420-2

Hi

Appreciate it may be a long shot, however...

Would anyone know the type of refrigerant that a Hitachi with the model number CCU420-2 might use? I think that it may be a screw compressor. :confused: The year of the model is 1994.

Have tried speaking to Hitachi, however no use. Have also been told it may be on the plate on the side of the compressor however it can't be read.

Have you tried to read what's written on the expansion device?

(I suspect the reason Hitachi couldn't help is that it's possible for the end user/installer to specify the refrigerant. But saying that, they should be able to trace your machine on the serial number)
