Normally, FCU got a water tray at the bottom for the condensate drain. But now the Client wants to avoid the water leakage from the devices such as valves, flexible joints beside FCU drop to the ceiling gypsum board. Can you help me design or some templates about this?

I guess the only way to avoid it is to install an additional hand made water tray under the FCU. No special design just an oversized box with the flange for condensate pipe. The drainage may be carried out with a drain pump with alarm signalling in case of overflowing. You also may use a flooding probe, sensitive to the water present on the add. tray.
Of corse all the valves, flexible joints beside FCU must be carefully insulated.
