Does anyone have a picture of a "bare pipe condenser" I could use for training?

Can't you photgraph a coil of copper pipe yourself to acheive the required effect?

Or do you mean a coaxial type condenser?

Apparently you are talking about a static condenser coil used on older refrigerators, right?

The bare pipe condenser is a prime surface, air cooled condenser used in ammonia systems and other industrial applicaitons. I give a lecture on heat exchangers to my class and this is the last type I need to have pictures of all types. This is not a co-axial type.

From what I can remember the closest thing I can think of is called an atmospheric condenser. It consisted of bare pipes, but had water sprays on it and the convection was accomplished by the outdoor wind currents.

There are some places where these are still used. However, this is very old technology and not commonly used anymore except in those emerging countries.

This type of technology is "at least" 75 years old or more.
