Hi,

Reading up on inverter they say when the get check tested the inverters are put into a test mode, this is so the inverter is lock on the one frequency.

Can any one tell me how to do this?

Also can anyone please tell me how to get my hands on the service manual for the current inverters on the market.

Hi,

Are you talking about a built in inverter drive like a split,or VRF system. Or is it an aftermarket drive?

If built in then which manufacturer??

Built in - Usually there is a 'test cool' or 'test heat' function which overrides the temperature sensors and sets the systems at a fixed speed for a given period of time.

The manufacturer should be able to advise how to do this.

Broadly speaking you should be checking start \ run currents with the load connected. Then check the output voltages without load connected - assuming not in test mode and it's a three phase inverter then o/p will vary (of course) but be balenced. Check this against manufacturers specs to see if it's within tolerances.

Sorry I can't help if it's an aftermarket drive as I've never worked on one.

Good luck
