In the jobs section, would it be possible instead of having everything under UK to have them split into areas, eg NE, NW, East anglia, London and so on saving people time having to go through 100's of jobs most of which are not anywhere near where they are

Raymond

Like everyone else i totally agree.
It's always nice to see who's hiring within your region.
It's an absolute pain to open them all to find none in your area's.
Mind you do get an Idea about what's being paid arround the regions.

They must be desperate for engineers in Canada.
Go into the jobs section and it list jobs for various towns around the uk but they are all for jobs there.

hello every one here, I would like to seek advice of people in uk,on the issue of job application,I got one e-mail before one month in my box, as I am looking for placement anywhere, they said they are recruiting for any engineering position in uk, I filled thier form, and later they sent to me appointment letter, but I have some doubt, and I am afraid of coming to the hand of fraud people, as they told me that they are O2 telecommunication, and their link reads : DELETED, they sent the appointment letter stated the offer for project engineer, without specifying Hvacr project engineer, they said they will train me when I get to uk, but my doubt come when I see they direct me to uk immigration site for immigration enquiry but the link they give made me doubt them, as the write : iimmigration-govs.com, without anything reffer to uk, and when I called thier attention to that, they gave another one : DELETED , when I am so sure it is not correct link to uk immigration, plus they said they are O2 telecommunication, which i think they are in telecommunication line, is there any one to help me , because they wanted me to fill all major personal data on one form and afix my signature , and scan the doc. to them, really I am afraid to take the step, any adivice ?

Fatboy, sorry I'd forgotten about this thread and I understand your original query.

I've made the thread "sticky" (via thread tools) and it should stay at the top of the section now.

Also there are jobs on the boards that are years old.... Perhaps a time limit of a month on the posts?

Is it just me?

I have applied to two industrial refrigeration firms and was told that i needed at least 5 years experiance in the field and to have knowledge in ammonia and co2 amongst other things, and that without this i cannot get a job with them.

Is this really the case?or is it they just dont want to hire a tw*t like me?

If someone applied to work in the supermarket sector, they all get employed just by saying that they know the light goes out when you shut the fridge door.
I should know, thats how i got my last job;)
