I work for a company that built refrigeration packages with oil flooded screw compressor; we had problems with our oil pump, screw type, supplier so we are looking for another one but it seems not easy to find. Our typical operative conditions of the pump, are the following:
P suction: 15-23 barg
Delta P: 3-5 bar
T oil: 40 - 90 °C
Flow rate: 500 to 2000 liters/min
In some applications, depending from the oil type, refrigerant can be mixed to the oil.

Please suggest me possible vendors for this type of pump, alternative solutions will be appreciate also.
Thanks.
Michele

Hi Michele
We use Mycom, GEA or Viking oil pumps dependingon the screw fitted. You will probably find most screw compressors makers will have their own pumps or at least recommend a brand.

Where I work we use Mycom compressors and a combination of both Viking and Blackmehr oil pumps with great success. I use viking oil pumps on my NH3 compressors, as the seals seem to last around a year or so longer than the blackmehrs. But those blackmehrs are a sinch to rebuild, takes about 15 minutes is all. So if you keep a spare handy it keep help to keep costs down, a rebuild kit for them costs under $1000

Oil flow seems a bit high for any screws i know.I would have thought 100 to 400 litres a min would cover most applications.Suggest mycom, viking ,vicanas well

for once, someone has actually informed that mycom is not the manufacturer of oil pump.

they OEM from elsewhere ... i try seeking further but it ended with mycom office in mexico; still unknown of the original manufacturer.

can anyone helps?

Snap a picture of one, they are all fairly easy to recognize
