It seems that all the best engineers on this site are Scottish.

Indeed throughout history Scotland has produced the worlds greatest engineers.

Even the football team are better than England now.

It seems that all the best engineers on this site are Scottish. That seem to be a very narrow minded view and incredibly arrogant considering the number of international members that visit this forum.

Indeed throughout history Scotland has produced the worlds greatest engineers.Perhaps you should rephrase this to read produced SOME of the worlds..

Even the football team are better than England now.Sorry can't really comment as I don't follow the silly expensive shareholders plaything.

But hey, we're all entitled to our opinions ;)

Hey,

Don't forget that you English guys couldn't even get to the finals of the world cup in that bladder kicking game without us Swedes!

So if you use the footie as a measurement of good engineers, then

.
.
I must be the best!!
And you all know what both Scottish and English ladies says about Swedish blokes.........

I looked up the notable dates in Scottish history,

No mention of good engineers!!
Interesting entry in year 1941 (requires more research)

It appears that for the first few hundred years the Scots were busy killing each other or at least the leaders were. But over hundreds of years of evolution, understanding and compassion have progressed to just beating the s#!t out of each other.:(

Sorry not my style, but reading a post like this, couldn’t resist.:p

How can Scotland have the best refrigeration engineers. It's so cold there I thought there would have been no need to have Fridgies in Scotland only Heating engineers. If you wanted to keep stuff cold you would only have to open the door.

Any English needing inspiration would do well to remember groundskeeper Willie from the Simpsons. Lest we forget the multi-tasking miracle worker Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott: oh yes indeed -Scotty from Star Trek, a true genius in all matters engineering. He who reads technical manuals for FUN.

Now I know who to swear and curse at when it's 42 degrees in the shade with a howling northerly blowing. Bloody Scots and their damm condenser.

You could put some heat into thermos flasks and post them to us in the UK.
I for one would not mind:)

Two Words : James BondOK, so that's two words - and.....

Are we to assume that you are referring to the Scottish actor who fled the country for years and started bitching that he wasn't getting a Knighthood:rolleyes:

Apart from Gordon Brown and the other Scottish members of the cabinet (even Blair was born in the great city of Edinburgh)
