Hello guys, today I went out to a Dakin RXS60 inverter condenser with a duff outdoor pcb. Whilst I had it in bits, I noticed that the compressor has 4 wires going to it (4 terminals), whats that all about:confused: , I thought an inverter compressor was basically a 3 phase motor, so whats the 4th wire do?

Hi Andy
If you mean the N terminal it's for the compressor rotor position (not a neutral wire).
This information is important for the pcb to anticipate the current through U, V, W terminal.
