I have offered to give a talk to students at a High School on refrigeration and air conditioning as part of the technology curriculum.

This being my very time to issue a talk and demo, was wondering if any members could direct me to an audio visual presentation which I could use in the lecture.

Im also thinking of having a small set up on a bench so the students can see the parts and the system working.

Im voluntary wanting to do this so I can introduce young minds to our industry. Any feedback from someone who has done something similar will greatly assist

Hi Abe.

Where abouts are you mate because I'm sure I've got lots of things that you could use.

PM with any details and I'll see what I can do.

One thing that realy blows the mind is when we introduce a vacuum to a sealed perspex chamber with a glass of water in it (with a thermometer). When the vac is introduced the water boils at room temp.

I'll help all I can.

Cheers taz.

Abe,
You volunteer to go in to a classroom filled with modern youths?
For help in that environment, THEESE (http://www.bladerunner.tv/index.php) people are able to help you.

Jokes aside, I have some good slides for power point somewhere, I will try and find them for you if you are interested.

Im overwhelmed by members willingness to assist. I shall send details by PM.

This is a brand new school just opened last month, cost 20 million odd , its a dedicated academy with a very high academic standard, and discipline which harks back to the war era.

Not a scratch on the wall, not any graffiti, pristine and crystal, designed with a very calming effect, even has a long water thing which disects the building.

I dont really want to stop there, I want to take the show to all schools, irrespective of standard or excellance. This will prove a good starting point.

I want to introduce young minds to the world of refrigeration. Hopefully in some of them will trigger a willingness to take it further and consider it as a career option.

I am in the East Midlands, and if any member wishes to join me in giving a little time on these presentations, you more than welcome.

I have to rush now, but will come with more details later.

Let me know where and when and I will try to be there to help as it is part of my job anyway. I will be able to bring along some of our toys as well if you want.

Hey, I'm touched of all this helping hands. Really.
I like very much the way Roy Dossat is explaining the cooling process. Expanding first the gass in an open room, then throttling the gass relase, then sucking it up and the re-condensing it.
